Value Engineering
At Bimazed, Value Engineering (VE) is a disciplined, BIM-driven method to improve function while cutting avoidable cost without sacrificing performance, safety, or quality. We use federated models, quantity-linked take-offs, and 4D/5D analyses to test alternatives early, when impact is highest. VE begins at project inception and continues through design development and procurement; when contractor proposals arise later, we implement them only if they preserve milestones and the savings clearly exceed any change costs. The result is lower lifecycle cost, cleaner constructability, and decisions grounded in model-backed evidence.
We clarify project goals, constraints, and value drivers; analyze functions across Arch/Str/MEPF systems; and generate practical alternatives materials, routings, spans, equipment sizing, prefabrication/modular strategies, envelope tweaks, and sequencing options. Each alternative is evaluated against cost, schedule, carbon, and risk using model-based QTOs, logistics visualizations, and constructability checks. We then prioritize the best options and deliver a clear recommendation pack: comparative dashboards, updated model views, affected sheets/details, and implementation steps aligned to your standards and approvals workflow.
Every VE decision is logged and traceable in the CDE, with change control tied to the BIM Execution Plan. Our QA/QC gates ensure geometry, metadata, and documents remain consistent after substitutions. By anchoring VE in accurate BIM data and by balancing performance, time, and cost we help owners, designers, and contractors realize measurable savings while protecting design intent and project certainty.
